What is the Downtown Poetry Crawl?

The Downtown Poetry Crawl is a weeklong adventure and scavenger hunt celebrating poetry, community, and creativity in Hot Springs. Teams and solo adventurers will explore local businesses, solve poetic riddles, and discover hidden verses for a chance to win unique prizes. Whether you’re a poet, a business owner, or a poetry fan, you are invited to take part in this free, accessible, and unforgettable event!

  • When: November 1 – 8, 2025
  • Where: Downtown Hot Springs, AR
  • Who can join? Anyone! Poets, readers, families, friends, and visitors.
  • Cost: Free to join; donations encouraged to support Arkansas poets.

Want to be a participating business or poet? We are currently accepting submissions for the Poetry Crawl!

  • Poets: Submit poems or poetic riddles to be featured in local businesses. Share your voice and reach new audiences!
  • Businesses: Host a hidden poem, offer a clue, or provide a prize. Drive new visitors and support local art!

All participants will be featured on HSPF.org and promoted throughout Feast Month.

Hot Springs Poetry Festival Announces Downtown Poetry Crawl — Nov. 1-8, 2025
Hot Springs, AR — The inaugural Hot Springs Poetry Festival will launch its signature Downtown Poetry Crawl the first week of November, inviting poets, businesses, and the public to join a citywide poetry adventure.

From November 1 through 8, poetry will pop up in unexpected places throughout downtown, as teams and solo participants hunt for hidden verses and poetic clues in local businesses, galleries, and public spaces. The event is free to join, with prizes for those who complete the crawl and solve the festival’s poetic riddles.

The festival is currently accepting poetry submissions and invites businesses to participate as host locations. All are welcome to take part in this accessible, community-wide celebration of Arkansas poetry and creative spirit.
